Grenache has its origins in the heart of Spain and thrives in McLaren Vale's Mediterranean climate.

Sourced from two vineyards in Blewitt Springs planted in 1939, and 1956. Both vineyards are bush vines on deep sandy soil over ironstone, which produces fruit with concentration, perfume and structure. The vineyard at higher elevation has smaller berries resulting in tightly wound gritty tannins, while the lower vineyard provides a beautiful mid-palate and aromatics. Selected barrels were blended together prior to bottling, this is a wine that speaks of elegance, texture and beauty.

93 Points: The Wine Front

Supple, vibrant style, quite fruit forward and unadorned feeling. Big whiffs of ripe cherry, cherry cola, smoky paprika, dried herbs. The palate follows through on that promise of the perfume with similar characters, a light whoosh of tannin to close in a faint chew. It’s a pretty wine, easy drinking, charming from hello.
